Jared L. Jones has been selected for promotion to the rank of Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Jones is a flight chief assigned to the 97th Security Forces Squadron at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. The sergeant has served in the military for 11 years. He is the son of Dean and Jan Caughman of Route 4, Sallisaw, Okla. The sergeant is a 1999 graduate of Sallisaw High School.
