Margaret L. Alcala has been selected for promotion to the rank of Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Alcala is a quality controller assigned to the 97th Operations Support Squadron at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. The staff sergeant has served in the military for 17 years. Alcala graduated in 1987 from Elizabethtown High School Pa., and received an associate of arts in 2007 from Community College of the Air Force, Maxwell Air Force Base, Gunter Annex, Montgomery, Ala.
